#41 Quality or Quantity? Thoughts from the Back Deck...
I have mainly two kinds of shirts in my closet.
I have a bunch of Bass Pro Shop shirts. Every color they make I have. They are a great "everyday" wear shirt as they are lightweight, thin, and vented back with mesh to keep you cool in the Flordia heat. I am easily spotted most weekdays at the church and school in these shirts. They last forever. They wash up and don't need an iron. They cost about $14 a piece on sale. Can you say "BARGAIN!"
The other shirt you will find in my closet. Dress shirts. White, black, or blue. Long sleeve. Look more professional and costs more too... A lot more. As I am a bigger guy, usually taking a 19"-20"/neck size, and need extra cloth on the shirt so it stays tucked in, the colors and choices are few! The cost is usually in the range (when can find any) of $60-$90 a shirt. I have one blue, 1.5 black (one of the shirts is regular length rather than long!) and two white shirts. They last a long time. The cloth is of better quality. They look better on me.
I have a choice: quality or quantity. For me, quantity rules! I wonder if clothing companies ever sponsor pastors? Never mind. Just a random thought slipping into my consciousness.
What kind of love has the Father given us? How does he show it? What does the word of God tell us?
Unconditional. Abundant. Everlasting. Complete. Neverending. Enduring. Persistent. Undying. Boundless. Priceless. Constant. Unrelenting. Immeasurable worth. Incomparable.
See what kind of love the Father has given to us... Quality and quantity!! We don't have to make a choice or "settle for". The perfect fit we need every second of our life.
If you enjoy one of my posts, feel free to share it.
Peace out,
Andy
